Tour of the Battenkill Cycling Race
Cambridge, NY - Organizers of the Tour of the Battenkill Cycling Race (www.tourofthebattenkill.com ) announce that more than 900 racers have registered in the first 15 hours of online registration. Approximately 500 racers registered in the first 10 minutes, starting at 7 PM Sunday. Already the largest Pro/Am race in the US in 2008, the 2009 event, slated for April 18-19 in Cambridge, NY, expects to draw an eventual 1500 racers from the throughout the USA and Canada. With the addition of the Men's Professional Invitational and the Cyclo-Sportif recreational ride on Sunday April 19, and the already successful race expo, the weekend event expects to be one of the largest spectator events in the Upstate New York region in 2009.
